Crenshaw is an endearing book about a boy and his imaginary friend. Jackson and his family are going through some hard times. With not enough money for rent or food, the family may have to live in their car again. However, through all of this, Jackson’s imaginary human size cat Crenshaw appears to offer comfort and some insight to help Jackson through this difficult time. This book stresses the importance of being honest and the true meaning of friendship, both real and imaginary.
