I started out not liking the first episode - it sounded to me like a bunch of juvenile Bernie Sanders supporters mindlessly mouthing slogans against evil corporate America. But while that mantra never quite goes away, the dynamic between the hackers and friends eventually asserts itself as a more absorbing story. Also, I enjoyed the hacking scenes, which were a big step above the usual click, click, click - I'm in! Elliot is a bit of cliche of the antisocial programmer, but he brings enough weirdness to it that it didn't bother me. I ended up liking the show a lot.
