Readers might have had some idea of the big twist from A Corner of White, but even if you suspected it, you're still going to be gobsmacked (and a little heartbroken) when it's revealed. But because Moriarty is so skilled, the big twist comes in the middle of the book and propels the rest of the story forward. Princess Ko was the star of the second book (and trust me, she's still formidable), but Keira from Jagged Edge was perfectly developed from a snotty techno-elite (not to be confused with the Jagged Edge Elite) to a sincere team member of Elliot's crew from The Farms. Her budding romance with one of his friends (no hints who) also proceeded perfectly. But that's not the main story. I'm not going to give it away, but as we always knew, Madeline and Elliot are the key to, literally, healing the world, and of course Isaac Newton will be there (literally) to give an assist. Incredibly satisfying ending.
