At this point the Shrek franchise(in my opinion) should not have continued producing movies. This movie was not as good as the first or second one. The standards have lowered for the movie, but the animation and voice acting is still very impressive. The comedic aspect in the movie was not done as well as the first two movies. Donkey and Puss in Boots have sort of lost their charm. There are points in the movie, however, that are amusing. This made the movie slightly more bearable to watch. All in all, it definitely isn’t as enchanting as the first two classics, but it is an okay film. This receives three out of five stars from me. - @SpookyCat of The Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board The tale of the ogre returns once again to complete a trilogy. This time, a new king must be chosen as the previous King, Fiona’s dad, passes away. We see Shrek take the throne following Fiona’s father’s passing, but he may not be the best fit for the throne, thus creating the need for a new king. Shrek ventures out to find a person named Artie as this is the person who should really be the king and is the rightful heir to the throne. Along with his friends Donkey and Puss in Boots, he sets out to find him. However, in the shadows lurks another threat. What will become of the throne? - @JuiceboxZ of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
