I was shocked to see this abhorrent movie was available to watch on my kid's Netflix account, as it was rated PG. I did contact Netflix representative to ask how was this possible, and to get them to change the rating: I wanted that movie gone from the list of suggestions for my kids, and threatened to cancel my account. I guess more people did the same, as the rating was changed and the movie no longer appears available on teen's channel. When I spoke to them, Netflix were quick to pass the buck to the national board of ratings, but I countered that Netflix too has a responsibility for this massive screw-up. The question then is who is sicker, the authors of this movie, or the rating agencies (and Netflix themselves ) supposedly in charge of keeping such disturbing content from the eyes of our kids. Case in point: Army Of Darkness is rated R. Contrast the violence in that movie, played mostly for laughs, and then consider that Bone Tomahawk was listed for months as a PG movie on your teen kid accounts. PG!! How much does a job at the Canada ratings agency pay? I could do a better job with my eyes closed, ears plugged and hands behind my back. Bone Tomahawk rated PG? What a JOKE! Go online, and read comments of grown adults who say they have been traumatized by the sadistic and insane violence featured in this movie. Stay away from this one, that's my advice. I'm no prude, and have seem my fare share of movies with violence and gore, but this is a sick movie made by sick people.
