Although I am an unashamed Bernie supporter, this book was a bit of a letdown. He spends chapter after chapter blasting the state of American politics and economics, only to end each chapter with a page or two of 'solutions' to these problems. His commentary on the problems facing the nation are understandable, accessible and easy to understand. His solutions presented are underwhelming. Out of this book, I wanted more details of his proposed solutions, something I can use in political discussions. Instead, you get solutions that boil down to (as another commenter also wrote) 'elect me and I'll fix it'. That's somewhat understandable - he did run for President after all - but personally I wanted more detail, more substance. Policy specifics. That's probably not going to happen in a book designed for the mass public, but if I can't get specifics in a ~450 page book, where can I get them? This is a book that will not change your mind on Bernie. If you already like him and what he stands for, this book is written for you. It preaches to the choir. If one recommends this to a Hillary supporter or someone on the other side of the isle, it'll read like a collection of Bernie speeches and won't convince them at all.
