This book was ok. This is what I liked: it was an interesting look at how our memories can deceive us and an interesting look at how we feel about something or someone may not be accurate. It was compelling to see how devasting it can be to keep secrets and how keeping secrets can affect how we may or may not continue to have relationships with those we love. Never assume that someone saw what you think they saw and that you know why someone acts the way they do. What I did not like: I predicted who was the actual killer pretty early on and this book totally reminded me of the TV shows Broadchurch and Gracepoint - the similar plot of someone found dead near water and then trying to unveil what actually happened to them based on how people behave and the pieces of the puzzle you can put back together again. And the strange woman no one pays attention to who knows more of the truth than is given credit for...
