He owned a ranch on Garber Creek in the...Show more This archival collection contains two diaries by Adam Martz, who came to Colorado from Illinois in the late 1800s. He owned a ranch on Garber Creek in the mountains near Sedalia. The diaries, dating to 1873 and 1908, are handwritten and speak mostly of his ranching work, but have references to his social life as well, including membership in an Odd Fellows lodge and at least one dance he attended.
