The June 1965 Plum Creek Flood

On June 14, 1965, one of the largest and most devastating floods in Douglas County's recorded history occurred. The Plum Creek flood washed out roads and bridges, resulting in the need for helicopters to fly in supplies and transport stranded people. Materials in this list document the flood and its aftermath, as well as resources that examine floods in general. Some of these items are reference or archival collections and may not be checked out. They can be accessed during normal business hours at the Castle Rock - Philip S. Miller library.
