Get It! Graphic Novels - Lone Tree

Graphic novels are popular with all ages, especially kids! There are many benefits of reading comics, where images and text are of equal importance, readers develop skills including decoding inferences, synthesizing meaning and thinking deeply about elements of storytelling. We will develop visual literacy through discussion of current graphic novels and create sketches to understand the process of storytelling in comics. Grades 6-8. Register now. This is a 4 consecutive week book club in the month of April. Each Monday session will discuss an aspect that helps create the story in a graphic novel. No drawing experience necessary.
